Ilyushin Il-86 accident report

Aeroflot Il-86 CCCP-86119 at Frankfurt am Main airport (FRA) in 1992.

The Il-86 was parked at Bay no.45 at Delhi Gandhi int’l apt (DEL), when it was hit by wreckage from a crashing Sahara India Airlines Boeing 737, VT-SIA. The Il-86 caught fire. Two Aeroflot employees on board were killed and one airport staff on the ground was also killed. First flight : 1989 Location : +- 500m 28°33’42”N 77°05’33”E

Re-position ferry flight from Moskva-Sheremetyevo (SVO) to Saint Petersburg (LED) with 16 crew and no passengers. Crashed on take-off from RW 07L due to a wrong stabilizer trimming. The aircraft pitched up sharply, stalled and crashed. First flight : 1983 Airframe hrs : 18363 engines : Kuznetsov NK-86. 14 people died in the crash and two stewardesses injured. location : +-100m : 55°59’13.39”N 37°28’39.02”E
